Hello and welcome to another episode of the Testing Peers. On this episode, we will discuss our experiences around Public Speaking. This covers everything from our own talks to any tips and suggestions we have to help people get into performing public speaking.
Chris starts us off with asking us about our experiences during our youth with public performances and any horror stories. We had everything from drill commands in the Air Cadets, school performances and Christmas shows.
We dived into why we felt we wanted to partake in public speaking which had a variety of reasons, from giving back to the community, sharing our stories and also possibly being able to talk about a topic better than one we’d already heard on the topic.
We offer advice on preparation/practice and show that we all have different ways to be ready for our talks and finally, we go into offering tips for anyone wanting to start their public speaking journey.
What are your experiences with Public Speaking? How did you get started? What is your motivation now?
We hope you found the discussion useful and would love to hear your feedback.
